No More Toast Notifications

2025-11-251 min read

We're removing toast notifications from YoPrint.

You click a button in one place. A message flickers in another. That never made sense.

Worse, toasts cover your content. You're trying to work and a notification blocks what you need to see. We built the interruption right into the interface.

And for what? When you delete an item and it vanishes from the list, you know it worked. The action itself gives you feedback. The toast just adds noise.

We made a decision. If the feedback matters, we keep it visible until you dismiss it. If the action already shows you what happened, we stay out of your way.

For simple actions, the UI change is the feedback. For complex operations, persistent banners. For errors, modal dialogs.

You act in one spot. You get feedback in that spot. No random flickering. No covered content. No noise.

Feedback that's too embarrassed to stay visible isn't worth showing.
